I went to PhLUG's Brickfast 23 last Sunday and as always, I had a great time enjoying the crowd, the displays and the brick stores. What's awesome about this month's Brickfast is the My Favorite Room MOC contest hosted by PhLUG's Urban Builders SIG. I think a lot of PhLUG members were looking forward to this event since this is another opportunity to showcase their building skills. As expected, PhLUG's talented builders did not disappoint.

As mentioned earlier, the theme for the contest is My Favorite Room. The entry may be any part of the house: living room, bedroom, dining room, kitchen, den, bathroom, etc. The guidelines are as follows:
1. the build must be on a 16x16 baseplate
2. the walls must be 9 bricks high
3. the walls may be 2 or 3 sided
4. minifigures may be included in the build
Here are all the entries that were displayed that day. Man, I'm really amazed with all the builders' attention to detail. These guys and gals really put a lot of thought and effort into their entries and you really have to give them credit for that. Good job!

The winner of the contest is this piece right here by James Espinoza. This elegantly designed kitchen has everything a minifigure chef could ever need. Again, details are everything and in this case, it made the entire build seem real. I guess this is the reason why the judges chose this among the other amazing entries. I honestly think that this seems like something taken out of a Lego Creator set or even better.

There you have it. Another set of cool MOCs from the talented builders of PhLUG. I'm really looking forward to the next batch of MOCs these folks would come up with. Congrats to Urban Builders for a successful MOC contest and also to PhLUG for another successful Brickfast!
To end, here are my hauls from the Brick Stores. I really need to finish my current MOC asap! Thanks for reading! Till next entry!
