Ever since we found out about the Manila Hobbies & Collectibles Convention last month, the Waifu and I made sure we'll get our butts to the Con no matter what! We were supposed to man her booth at a bazaar until Sunday, which was at the other end of the metro so we only had time to drop by the con yesterday morning. Our short stay at the event was truly worth our time!
There were a lot of cool things to see at the Con and I'm pretty sure anybody and everybody who's into toys would surely have a great time. I, for one was giddy about the displays of the local toy communities which fronted the venue's main entrance. Also, I'm happy the local Lego community was properly represented. Good job, PinoyLUG!
By the way, let's hear it for my brick brother, Mark Ryan To who debuted with his first display gig alongside Arvin Encarnacion's awesome Princess Leia mosaic! Check out Mark's Princess Leia minifig collection as well as some of his MOCs.
Let me show you some of the other neat stuff we saw at the Con. Enjoy!
I have a single haul at the event. As you all know, I'm a Lego man and would rather spend my money on minifigs and bricks. Last week, the Waifu gave me Ryu and Ken Funko POP! figs as gifts for our fourth wedding anniversary. I've been wanting to buy them for the longest time! Now that I have them, I just had to get the Dan Funko POP! fig. Which I did! For 10% off! That's a pretty good deal for me. I wish there'd be an Akuma Funko POP! fig released soon!
The Waifu and I really had a great time at a Con! Too bad we had to leave early. Hope you enjoyed this quick post at Nothing But Brick. Watch out for this month's Builder of the Month entry which I'll be posting this week. Till next entry!
