Nothing But Brick's Top 5 MOCs @ PinoyLUG's Bricktober 2017

Hi, folks! For this entry, I'll be featuring the top 5 MOCs at PinoyLUG's Bricktober 2017, which was held last October at the Promenade Hall in Greenhills. As expected, PinoyLUG, in collaboration with AFOLMNL and Pinoy Bricksters, brought their A game as they shared their love for the brick with their jaw-dropping displays.

This was a bigger and better Bricktober as hundreds of MOCs were put on display to cater to Lego fans of all ages. Out of all these awesome MOCs, there were a select few that really stood out among the rest. Without further ado and in no particular order, here are Nothing But Brick's top 5 MOCs at Bricktober 2017!

The Jungle
Kudos to the builders of this huge MOC for successfully recreating the terrain of a South American jungle. I love how one area smoothly transitions to another which makes the whole display seem organic and alive. The pyramid's also a nice touch.

The Burning Building
It burns! This is actually the first time I to see a burning structure on the brink of collapse done in Lego and it's really something. The wall pieces are also movable which makes the whole damn thing playable.

The Grey Ship
I'm a sucker for ships which is why this sweet thing caught my attention. I love everything about this grey beauty especially its shape. You could tell the details in this MOC were well thought of. I wonder if it's swooshable?

The Silver Dragon
Hands down, this is the best Lego dragon I have ever seen in my life! It's massive, menacing and majestic all at the same time.

Goblin Town
This is my personal favorite out of all the MOCs at Bricktober 2017. It's interesting to note how each separate vignette contribute to the big picture and successfully tell a story to anyone who takes the time to look. Each part of the display may have its own angle or perspective but if you put all of these together and look at the bigger picture, you realize they share the same narrative and actually compliment each other.

I'll be ending this entry with the honorable mentions, the ones that didn't make the cut. Congratulations to PinoyLUG for another successful brick event! Looking forward to your next set of displays.
