Queen has got to be one of the most influential bands in the history of rock. Coincidentally, it's also one of my favorite musical acts of all my time. Each member of the group is a helluva musician in his own right, but it's lead vocalist, Freddie Mercury who took musicianship and showmanship to the next level.
Born Farrokh Bulsara, Freddie Mercury has got to be one of the most iconic frontmen to have ever graced the stage. His powerful voice coupled with his on-stage presence has captivated fans of all ages. Check out Queen's live performances on YouTube and you'll get what I'm saying.
The man's also a talented instrumentalist and has especially shown proficiency in playing the piano.
What I truly love about Freddie Mercury is his passion which he clearly translated into his performances. It was the raw energy he possessed which drew tons of crowds towards him. He had a cool way of getting each and everyone of his audience involved. I think that's what being an artist is really all about.
