Mechs @ Abrickadabra 2018

It must have been apparent in my recent posts that I'm so into mechs lately. Ever since I started building my own frame, I've consumed several references online for building tips. One of my favorite mech builders is Lu Sim, a.k.a. Messymaru,  who I previously featured as one of Nothing But Brick's Builders of the Month. Lu, together with PhLUG's resident talented mech builders displayed some of their best works at Abrickadabra 2018. I was fortunate enough to have a closer look at them. Check it out!

I'm really amazed with how these guys managed to make their mechs look so cool! Each mech is well-built in terms of shape, color scheme, proportion and even accessories. Makes you think if these are plastic model kits or built from bricks. Excellent parts usage, fine weaponry, realistic greebling. What more could a mech fan ask for?

Kudos to Lu, Mic Santiago, Jude Desales, Bert Segunial and Lester De Jesus for doing a great job with these builds. Keep on building, guys! We really learn a lot from what you do. Looking forward to your next projects!

By the way, if you're a Lego fan and into mechs, I suggest you check out Brick Mecha Division. It's an online group of mech enthusiasts and builders where members are encouraged to share their MOCs and love for mecha. Truly a good place to start learning how to build them big metal giants.

That's all for now, folks! Stay tuned for more neat stuff here at Nothing But Brick. Till next entry!
